One of the tasks of the Commission for Provenance Research is the examination of objects in federal museums and collections in accordance with the provisions of the Austrian Art Restituition Act of 1998. From March 23 to 24, 2011 the Commission for Provenance Research will organize a seminar that aims on enabling participants to exchange information about the subject of collecting and dealing in art and to offer an academic ground for discussion.
Deadline for the submission is October 1, 2010!

The Library of the Goethe-Institut New York, one of the few German language lending libraries hosts 7000 volumes including books, audio books, newspapers, CDs, DVDs and magazines. The library is open to the public - in house use of the media is free of charge. In order to serve patrons outside of New York City, members of the library have the opportunity to benefit from long distance loans.
